For the rest of the month, Waltham Starbucks locations will hand out complimentary coffee to frontline workers.
“We want to show our deep gratitude for those who support and protect us every day with a small gesture of kindness and a cup of coffee,” said a Starbucks media release.
Up until December 31, any customer who identifies as a frontline responder to the pandemic will receive a tall brewed coffee (hot or iced) at no charge.
Starbucks said the following frontline employees are eligible: doctors, nurses, public health workers, pharmacists, dispatchers, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, law enforcement officers, dentists and dental hygienists, mental health workers, all hospital staff, military on active duty, contact tracers, vaccine and pharmaceutical researchers, pilots, flight attendants, TSA and medical researchers.
There are two Starbucks locations in Waltham, one at 1265 Main (shown in photo, with drive-thru) and one at 1019 Trapelo Road (at Lexington Street).
