A familiar face from Waltham’s Reagle Music Theatre has a recurring role on the new Fox dramedy Filthy Rich with Kim Cattrall.
Rachel York, a Broadway veteran with many acting credits, has signed on to 13 episodes of season one.
Filthy Rich follows the mega-rich Southern family behind a wildly successful Christian television network.
After the network founder dies in a plane crash, three of his illegitimate children surface, born from affairs with three different women.
Rachel plays Tina Sweet, the mother of one of the late televangelist’s illegitimate children.
On her website, Rachel describes Tina as “a down-on-her-luck Las Vegas cocktail waitress who had spent a year in a clandestine relationship with the deceased.”
Filthy Rich airs Mondays on Fox at 9:00 p.m.
Rachel’s previous TV credits include Elementary, Hannah Montana, Frasier, Reba, Numb3rs, Spin City and Diagnosis Murder.
The multi-talented actor and singer lives in New York, but has played leading roles in several Reagle Music Theatre shows in recent years. Congrats!
