Retired Waltham Truck Driver Wins $1M

Mackenzie Martin, a retired truck driver from Waltham, won big Monday on a Mass State Lottery ticket from Kev’s Kwik Market at 909 Main Street.
Martin won $1 million on a $30 Ultimate Millions scratch ticket.
According to a Mass Lottery release, Mackenzie opted to take a cash payout of $650,000. After tax withholdings, his net winnings were $461,500.
He declined to say what he would do with the money, but told lottery officials that he plays the Ultimate Millions game often and was happy to win.
Meanwhile, another Waltham convenience store, Convenience Plus at 150 Lexington Street, sold a ticket to a Newton retiree who also won recently.
Gary Donalds won $150,000 on a Powerball quickpick and took a one-time payment of $106,512, according to a MassLottery release.
