Feedback Sought for Park Designs

Published by Chris Wangler- August 19, 2020.
Improvements are planned for two dated parks on the South Side. As part of the process, the city is seeking public feedback about proposed designs.
McDonald Playground is on Newton Street near High Street in Ward 9.
Proposed improvements include a new zipline, a new basketball/futsal court, new playgrounds for younger and older children, a new splash park and a new fitness area.
The other park, Thompson Playground, is on Charles Street near Grant Street in Ward 5.
Along with new playgrounds for younger and older kids, a new basketball/futsal court is planned, along with a new splash park and a new fitness area.
Over the last few years, the city has used community feedback for improvements to a large number of public and school parks.
