Waltham firefighters had to run lines up a cliff to extinguish a brush fire on Prospect Hill on Saturday.

Waltham Fire responded around 4:00 p.m., according to news photographer Peter Lobo.

To reach the fire, firefighters ran long hoses from a parking lot at 500 Fifth Avenue.

It took roughly two hours to contain and soak down the blaze.

Roughly an acre was damaged, said Lobo.

The cause remains under investigation.
