Want To Help a Waltham Veteran?

A Moody Street restaurant will donate 10% of all its Veterans Day sales to a local non-profit that helps Waltham veterans.
Tempo at 474 Moody teamed up with Waltham’s Launch Foundation for the promotion.
“We want to give back to the incredibly brave service members that have given us the ability to live free and safe,” said a Tempo Facebook post.
Launch’s mission is to assist low-income and homeless Waltham veterans. The help is primarily with housing, but the foundation also assists with hunger, health care and substance abuse.
Launch founder and CEO Dave DiGregorio Sr, a Waltham veteran himself, gave an example of the work his foundation did for an Air Force veteran who served in the Korean War.
The Waltham vet, who is in his nineties, could not get into his bathroom with his existing wheelchair.
So Launch covered the cost of a new $2,800 wheelchair, which now allows him access.
The 10% Tempo promotion runs on Wednesday, November 11, on dine-in, takeout and delivery.
