Hydrant Flushing Starts Next Week

Waltham Fire will conduct its annual fire hydrant testing from May 2 to June 3.
Firefighters will inspect each hydrant and flush them to ensure they are functioning properly.
During the testing period, the department advises residents using water for cooking, drinking and cleaning to run cold faucets until it is free of rust.
And keep an eye out for firefighters testing hydrants in your neighborhood.
