Last week Firehouse Magazine presented its Gold Station Renovation Award to officials involved in the Moody Street Fire Station project.
A plaque was presented to Saccoccio & Associates Architects, the firm that designed the $10 million renovation and expansion of the historic station.
The award recognizes the project as the top station renovation in the country.
The long-overdue project involved demolition of a neighboring property that the city acquired.
Moody Fire was then expanded to include facilities required for a busy urban fire department while preserving its unique history.
Congrats!
