Three Transported After Wrong Way Crash

Look the same? These are actually two different minivans that collided after one of them drove into oncoming traffic near the Route 20 / I-95 interchange.

The crash happened on Sunday night around 9:45 p.m. on Weston Street at Sibley Road near the Weston/Waltham line.

The minivan heading westbound veered into the wrong lane toward traffic exiting I-95 into Waltham.

News photographer Peter Lobo said three people were taken to area hospitals, with one complaining of glass in the eye.

Both minivans―one Toyota (top) and one Honda (bottom)―were the same dark gray color. And both sustained oddly similar damage to their hoods and passenger side doors and windshields.

Drivers exiting I-95 were stalled behind the crash scene for roughly 30 minutes. Weston-bound traffic was also shut down.

The crash remains under investigation.
